Factory sample is a brand new pre-production parts but may have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects  such as cracks or holes  there will be cosmetic imperfections only. *NOTE: Die-cast  sand cast and investment cast have inherent porosity as part of the manufacturing.
